Trestle Hustle
The 15th Annual Trestle Hustle took place on Saturday, June 15, 2024, at the High Trestle Trail in Madrid. With over 100 registered athletes from all over Iowa and even a virtual participant from Florida, the event showcased a strong turnout. Despite starting dry, rain eventually set in, but participants in the 5K, 10K, and Duathlon (run, bike, run) enjoyed the cooler weather.
The overall winners were:
- Duathlon (Male): Gage Long
- Duathlon (Female): Kristin Tentinger
- Duathlon (Relay): Team Cobra
- 5K (Male): Jonathan Roldan
- 5K (Female): Amy Chesnut
- 10K (Male): Logan Westin
- 10K (Female): Kelsy Cole
Finishers received a medal, tumbler, and trail mix donated by the BCH Auxiliary. Drinks were provided by Keurig Dr. Pepper and Sola H2O. Many thanks to all the dedicated volunteers who assisted with packet pickup, check-in, and route aid, as well as the BCH Engineering Department, BCH Ambulance, Boone County Sheriff’s Department, Madrid Police, and Boone County Conservation for ensuring the event was safe and successful.
