Making Room for New MRI

It's not an easy task to take out an MRI machine that weighs more than 15,000 pounds. Several workers were available to make this happen at Boone County Hospital last week. A crane was used to lift the machine out of its spot in the Hospital and through an open wall area so it could be loaded on to a truck trailer. The new MRI will be available for use in June and will provide faster scans and will also provide breast MRIs. If you are in need of an MRI between now and June, scans are still available through our temporary location in the trailer outside of Radiology. Appointments can be made at (515) 433-8440.
