Dr. Downs is Retiring
Dr. Frank Downs, Boone County Family Medicine (BCFM) in Boone, will be retiring April 1st.
Dr. Downs has been practicing medicine in Boone for 35 years. He joined Boone Family Practice at 527 Marshall Street in 1977 with Drs. Rouse and Anderson. In 1987, Boone Family Practice joined McFarland Clinic and relocated to the existing facility at 1115 South Marshall Street. Dr. Downs practiced with Drs. Rouse, Anderson, Hardinger, Thiel and Phipps; Dr. Peterson later joined the group in 2001. In 2002, the practice joined Boone County Hospital and became Boone County Family Medicine.
Three of the newest physicians at BCFM are available to see patients--Dr. Wahid Alfonse and Dr. Jason Sheffler are located in the Boone Clinic; Dr. Caleb Glawe is in Ogden. Later this summer, Dr. Joshua Anderson will be joining the clinic in Boone and will be available to see patients. Other providers include: Dr. Eric Peterson, Dr. Jerald Phipps, Dr. Scott Thiel, Nicole Goliber, PA-C, and Kris Shaver, PA-C.
